A few days ago, WWE 2K25 confirmed it would release a special DLC in honor of John Cena’s retirement tour, set to release on October 16, with the content of that DLC now being found by dataminers. Among other WWE 2K25 additions, it officially brings Brock Lesnar back to the series.
As WWE 2K fans know, Brock Lesnar was removed from WWE 2K24 as a playable character and cover star on the Forty Years of WrestleMania edition. While never outright confirmed, it was understood by fans that this was because former WWE employee Janel Grant named Brock Lesnar in a lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon in January 2024. McMahon was also removed from the game, for the most part. It’s worth noting that Lesnar is not listed as a defendant in the lawsuit. Lesnar recently returned to in-ring action, defeating John Cena in a brutal match with multiple F5s at WWE Wrestlepalooza.
WWE 2K25 John Cena's Farewell Tour DLC Additions
WWE 2K25 Patch 1.26 brought with it additional files and details for the upcoming John Cena DLC, which dataminers used to find what’s included in the DLC. Alongside Brock Lesnar, Cena’s ’03 and WrestleMania 41 looks are included. Ron Killings, better known by his stage name R-Truth, is also featured in this DLC with his Ron Cena look. It is also reported that the DLC will add five new T-shirts to the CAS mode, based on the outfits Cena wore in London, Scotland, SummerSlam, Bakersfield, and Dayton. Others also suggest the DLC adds support for Kane ’03/Kane ’08.

Brock Lesnar is also said to have a version of his SummerSlam ’25 look in the game, but it’s further worth noting that this is a brand-new model for Brock Lesnar. It isn’t the WWE 2K4 version that was cut from the game, but instead, it is a brand new one based on Lesnar’s latest in-ring look.
As of this writing, the pricing of the John Cena Farewell Tour DLC has yet to be revealed, but fans can expect more details in the coming days.
